The Organizing Committee of the International Symposium on Environmental Geochemistry in the Tropical Countries is proud to announce the 5th version of the event, taking place once again at the delightful city of Búzios, Brazil.
This year the Symposium now focuses on the modern issues of environmental sustainability in the tropical countries, a subject that arises from the recent years significant changes in the discussions on the geochemical responses to anthropogenic activities, where the global changes acquired relevance, but also the local issues are begin regarded under a wider point of view, focused on concepts of management.
So, rather than just looking at the chemical behavior of pollutants, we are trying to develop a knowledge that would reduce the environmental and health impact of these pollutants, under a human stand point.
