The Local Section Committee has arranged for members and guests to visit AAK’s refinery, blending plant and state-of-the-art laboratory on the King George Dock in Hull.
There are two visiting options – either 10:30 till 12:30 or 13:30 till 15:30 with a maximum of 10 people per group on a first come, first served basis. We appreciate that daytime visits are not convenient for many members but think it is worth the effort to come along if at all possible.
There are strict access requirements to the Dock (photo ID required) and a health questionnaire to ensure product safety must be completed beforehand (things like no coughs, colds, infectious diseases, etc). AAK may deny entry to anyone not meeting their health requirements as these are food manufacturing premises.
Like most large international firms there are strict safety protocols. PPE will be provided by AAK. In particular, they need to know your shoe size in order to provide anti-static, anti-slip safety shoes.
Having parked your car at either the main AAK car park or the much smaller Development & Innovation Centre (DIC), go to the DIC to meet up with our hosts for an introductory talk and tour.
To book a place or find out more please contact the Local Section Secretary at pcaygill26@gmail.com
