The Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry hosts a one-day meeting for Teachers of Chemistry in January each year. The aim of this conference is to update teachers on recent developments in the subject.
The programme includes a mix of talks on current educational issues and interesting areas of chemistry and practical laboratory sessions and is also a valuable opportunity to meet and discuss relevant topics with other teachers.
These meetings have proved popular since they began in 2001 and normally attract around 100 participants. Delegates come mainly from the Glasgow, Paisley, Ayrshire, Lanarkshire and Falkirk areas and we are always happy to welcome participants from further away.
