Palm Oil - The Sustainable 21st Century Oil

23 - 24 March 2009, London, United Kingdom

Introduction
Indonesia and Malaysia dominate production of palm oil and have done much to make the oil so important, but have also come under criticism for destruction of tropical rain forest. With world population projected to increase to over 9 billion by 2050, palm oil will become even more important for world food supplies.

During the two-day conference, well-known figures and experts from around the world will meet at the prestigious facilities of The Royal Society in London to discuss the future of palm oil. Attendees at the conference will gain a comprehensive overview of the production, trading, processing, use and future prospects of palm oil and should come away with a good understanding of what more needs to be done to achieve true sustainability.

Unlike most conferences about palm oil, it is organised by SCI, which is independent of any vested interest in the topic. If you are involved in the palm oil industry in any way, you cannot afford to miss this conference.
