Warm welcome to this year's meeting of the Swedish Chemical Society, Theoretical Chemistry Section!
Sweden has for many years been at the forefront of computational chemistry, when it comes to theory and applications alike. This year's sessions include Biological Applications, Drug Design, Industrial Applications, Materials, QM and Theory, and Spectroscopy and Light (to mark the International Year of Light).
Located on the shore of the Baltic, Kalmar is not only one of the most beautiful cities in Sweden but also one of the oldest. The well-preserved baroque castle, cobbled-streets old town and seashore park are all worth a visit. The nearby Öland island is a must for nature lovers. Another attraction in the region is Sweden's Glass Kingdom, a vast area of lakes and traditional glass factories. The weather at the end of August is usually pleasant, with average maximal daily temperatures around 20 degrees centigrade.

We are looking forwards to receiving contributions to oral and poster presentations.
Please note that all deadlines are provisional. Please consult the meeting's webpage for updates.
