Our gender pay gap report
Reporting our gender pay gap has been a useful opportunity to review the impacts of work we have been doing to remove barriers to progression for every role throughout our organisation.
We were able to re-examine where there might be disproportionate representation of women or men and how the actions we have taken to facilitate equality of access and progression might be having an impact on our gender pay gap.
We have reaffirmed our commitment to doing more to understand the wider societal issues which may be contributing to our gender pay gap, and to continue to open up equality of opportunity for all roles while remaining fair and inclusive in everything we do.

High-quality data and evidence is essential to improving inclusion and diversity in the chemical sciences. If we are to ensure talented people thrive and progress in chemistry, we need much greater transparency in reporting the data that gives us insight into the barriers people face – and the ways we can remove them.
As we examine the data in the wider chemical sciences, we must examine our own activities and the extent to which they are representative of the entire chemical sciences community.
