The Surface Reactivity and Catalysis Group (SURCAT) is one of the RSC's many Interest Groups. The Interest Groups are member driven groups which exist to benefit RSC members, and the wider chemical science community, in line with the RSC's strategy and charter.
Aims
To represent those with interests, experimental or theoretical, directed towards reaction processes involving solid surfaces, and especially chemisorption and heterogeneous catalysis.
Activities
The Group holds a number of events including an annual symposium covering all areas of heterogeneous catalysis and related fields. We particularly support younger members through, for instance, graduate student meetings and by providing bursaries to attend selected international conferences.
How to Join
RSC members can join the Surface Reactivity & Catalysis Group by updating their details in the “My communities and subscriptions” tab of the online RSC membership area. Please .
