In 1883 a map was published by the Temperance Movement entitled 'Drink Map of Oxford' showing the locations of all licensed premises in Victorian Oxford. It's now published by the Bodleian Library and as none of the locations marked on the map were identified, Douglas Rudlin was inspired to find the name and address (both old and current) of each one. Out of 268 'Full Licensed Houses' and 'Beer Houses' Douglas has identified 246 and this historical walking tour will take in some of those, demolished or still present, where he will share some of the stories he found.
