Protein Crystallography and Structure Guided Design

28 - 29 May 2009, Oxford, United Kingdom

Introduction
The two-day workshop will give an introduction to protein crystallography as well as the use of high-resolution protein structures for rational drug development. The main purpose of the lectures is to give a comprehensive overview describing the theoretical background that covers the entire process from the generation of highly-purified recombinant proteins for crystallization, the structure-determination process using X-ray crystallography, the interpretation of structural information, as well as its use in designing specific inhibitors.
