Dalton Discussion 4: Inorganic Reaction Mechanisms: Insights into Chemical Challenges

10 - 13 January 2002, ., Germany

Introduction
Organised by the Dalton Division of the RSC.

Recent advances in experimental techniques and theoretical methods have enabled the study of inorganic, organometallic and bioinorganic reactions in great detail on a molecular level. These developments have had an impact on the understanding of catalytic processes, environmental problems and medical treatments, and offer suggestions for improvement in these fields.

DD4 provided a state-of-the art overview of this area, highlighting the latest advances and possible future directions. The meeting brought together leading international figures in five active areas where reaction mechanisms are playing a major contribution in advancing understanding.
