Centre for Sustainable Chemical Technologies (CSCT) is pleased to announce that the 6th annual Summer Showcase at the University of Bath is now open for registration. The event will take place from Monday 6 to Wednesday 8 July 2015, bringing researchers and industrial experts together, to discuss the latest developments in sustainable chemical technologies.
The programme will include talks from CSCT researchers on a wide range of topics from the four research themes at the centre: Energy and Water, Renewable Feedstocks and Biotechnology, Processes and Manufacturing, and Healthcare Technologies.
Other academics as well as international visitors from Brazil, Korea, Singapore, South Africa and the USA, will be joined by representatives of over 14 commercial companies. Together with the CSCT, they will be presenting exciting new research in sustainable science and engineering, or examples of sustainability challenges they have faced.
To complement the talks, there will also be career and internship workshops, delivered by academics, industrial experts, and CSCT alumni, aimed at young researchers. The Plants to Products Network (P2P), also based at the University of Bath, will be running a satellite workshop showcasing some of the activities happening within P2P and providing a forum focussed on the opportunities and challenges in delivering novel and renewable surfactants. A dedicated Public Engagement showcase will also take place highlighting our popular and award-winning activities.
The Showcase is a valuable opportunity for anyone who wants to learn about the latest developments in the field of Sustainable Chemical Technologies, or to initiate and further collaborations. The event is free to attend but requires registration. You can opt to join the sessions of your interest or attend the entire conference including the conference dinner on Monday evening. We look forward to welcoming you.
